HEAL – Healthcare Environment needs Accessible Language

Тhe project HEAL aims at improving the communication between healthcare professionals and deaf people. It seeks to develop an innovative training tool that can enhance the skills of healthcare professionals and empower people with disabilities to advocate for themselves and access appropriate care. By creating an interactive app and glossary, the project aims to promote and create a more inclusive and accessible healthcare system that can better fulfill the needs of all people.

HEAL project goals are to improve the vocational education of healthcare professionals and empower individuals with disabilities to access appropriate care. To achieve this, the project foresees the development of training materials, a dedicated glossary and a mobile application. Additionally, heal will involve stakeholders through focus groups, interviews, and events. These activities will facilitate the exchange of good practices and ensure that project outcomes are accessible and of high quality.

HEAL project expects to achieve the creation of training courses for healthcare professionals, the development of a mobile application to facilitate communication between professionals and deaf people, as well as the production of a glossary and teaching materials. The project also aims to foster greater inclusiveness and accessibility in the fields of VET education for professionals in the healthcare sector.
